Quick Tasks in the left menu holds one-click tasks for your Icarus server and the schedules that run them on a timer. Use it to restart, back up, clear old logs and build a daily restart.
The parts of the page
- Pinned tasks: tasks you pinned. They also appear as Quick tasks on Overview.
- All tasks: the task list. Default tasks are the ones that come with the server; Your tasks are the ones you saved yourself.
- Schedules: tasks that run on a timer, and Ready-made for Icarus above them.
The default tasks
| Task | What it does |
|---|---|
| Send Restart | Restarts the server. |
| Send Stop | Stops the server. |
| Send Start | Starts the server. |
| Backup Server | Takes a full backup of your server files. |
| Clear Old Logs | Deletes the logs kept from earlier runs. The log of the current run, your prospects, settings and mods are left alone. Safe while the server runs. |
| Send Command | Sends text to the console. Do not use it on Icarus: the game does not read the console. Admin commands go in the game chat. |
Each task row has Run and Configure, and a menu with Schedule… and Pin to overview. Run on a task that needs a value opens Configure task first. There, Save task saves your version under Your tasks; it does not run it.
Clear Old Logs deletes files, so Run asks first. The window lists what is Deleted from Files and offers Back up the server first.
Ready-made for Icarus
The only ready-made schedule for Icarus is Automatic backup: a backup every night, while the server runs or not. Servers whose plan includes backups have it already. Its time can be changed on Backups, under Scheduled backups, with Edit.
Your own schedules
- A daily restart: How to restart your Icarus server on a schedule.
- A schedule's time cannot be edited on Quick Tasks. Make a new schedule and delete the old one.
- Open a schedule to see its steps, Add step and Skip while players are online. Run now, Edit schedule… and Delete schedule are in the menu on its row.
