Use Restore some files... on a backup, tick the savegame folder to put back only the world, or enshrouded_server.json to put back only your settings, and click Restore selected.
Restore only the world
- Open your server in the panel and click Backups in the left menu.
- Find a finished backup, open its ... menu and choose Restore some files....
- Wait while the window reads the backup. On the tab Files and folders, tick the
savegamefolder.

- Click Restore selected.
The server stops for the moment the files are swapped, then starts again. The window says if the files are put back at the next start instead. In that case start the server from the Console when you are ready.
Restore only the settings
Do the same, and tick enshrouded_server.json instead of savegame. That puts back your passwords, difficulty, chat and permissions, and leaves your world as it is.
Check afterwards
- Open Files and the
savegamefolder. It should holdworld0.ksdand thebackupfolder, and no other file whose name starts withworld0.ksd. The game takes in every such file, so a stray one can be loaded instead of your world. - Follow How to check which world your Enshrouded server loaded.
Undo
The files a restore replaces are kept in a folder called .pnh-restore for 7 days. Click Undo last restore in the same window, within 24 hours, to put them back as they were.
Good to know
- A full restore puts everything back. See How to back up and restore your Enshrouded world.
- For the last hour of play, use the game's own earlier copies instead: How to rewind your Enshrouded world.
- You need the permission to restore backups and to read files. See How to invite friends and give them access.
