You can bring an Astroneer world you already have, from your own computer or another host, to your PlayNHost server.
Back up first. Uploading a world with the same name as the one on the server replaces it. Create a backup of the current world (see How to create, download and restore backups), stop the server, and keep your own original files until the server loads the new world.
Upload and load your world
- On your PC (Steam version), your single-player saves are .savegame files in %LocalAppData%\Astro\Saved\SaveGames. Copy the one you want somewhere safe first.
- Stop the server from the panel.
- Open Files and go to Astro, then Saved, then SaveGames.
- Upload your .savegame file there. If a file with the same name already exists it is replaced, so download the existing one first if you want to keep it.
- Open Astro, then Saved, then Config, then WindowsServer, edit AstroServerSettings.ini and set ActiveSaveFileDescriptiveName to the name of your save file without the .savegame ending.
- Start the server and join to check your planets and bases are there. If the save does not load, open a ticket.

Start a fresh world
Starting fresh can permanently remove the current world. Back it up first.
- Stop the server from the panel.
- Download the SaveGames folder first so you can go back to the old world.
- Delete the .savegame files in Astro, then Saved, then SaveGames. This permanently removes the world, everything built in it and the automatic backup copies stored in that folder.
- Start the server; it begins with a fresh world.
