Your world is most likely still there. World, Random World Seed, Random World Size and Save Name together decide which save the server loads. Change one and the server starts a separate fresh world. Set them back to the old values and restart.
Bring your world back
- In the panel, open Files and go to
.local/share/7DaysToDie/Saves. You see one folder per map, and inside each, one folder per save. - Find your old world's folder. The map folder and the save folder names are what you need.
- Open the Settings tab, then Game Settings.
- Set World to the map, and Save Name to the save folder's name, exactly, capitals included. For a random map, also set Random World Seed and Random World Size to the values you had.
- Restart the server.
If the folder is gone
- A World Reset or the World wipe schedule deletes every save. Restore the backup from before it: How to wipe your 7 Days to Die server.
- A restore of an older backup brings back the world as it was then.
