The Console tab of your server is connected to the game's own command console. Type a command without a slash and press Enter: the game's answer appears below. Type help to see every command your game version has.
How the Console works
- Open your server in the panel and click the Console tab.
- Wait for the line
Connected with 7DTD server. From then on, what you type goes to the game. - Type a command and press Enter.
Commands in the panel are typed without a slash. You do not need to be in the game or an admin to use them: the panel's Console has full rights. In the game, admins open the same console with F1.
Commands you will use

listplayers or lp | Players online, with their IDs. |
say "Your message" | A message to everyone in the game's chat. Keep the quotes, or only the first word is sent. |
saveworld or sa | Saves the world to disk now. |
gettime or gt | The current day and time in the game. |
admin add <name or ID> <level> | Makes someone an admin. Level 0 is full admin. |
kick <name or ID> | Removes a player, who can rejoin. |
ban add <name or ID> <duration> <unit> | Bans a player for a time. |
whitelist add <name or ID> | Adds someone to the whitelist. |
shutdown | Saves and stops the server. The panel's Stop button sends this. |
Commands the panel sends for you
- Stop and Restart send
shutdown, so the world is saved before the server stops. - The nightly Automatic backup sends
saveworldbefore it backs up. - On Quick Tasks, Save World sends
saveworld, and Announce to Players sendssaywith your message in quotes.
Good to know
- Admins, bans and the whitelist you set with commands are kept in the game's
serveradmin.xml, so they stay through restarts. - The Console needs the console permission, if a friend manages the server with you.
- The game also writes its log to
logs/latest.log, which you can open in Files.
