How is Open World different from RimWorld Together?
Both are RimWorld multiplayer mods on this site, and in both each player runs their own colony in their own game, linked on a shared world map. Check your RimWorld version first: Open World's last release, from 2023, runs on RimWorld 1.4, not the current 1.6.
Is the player limit actually enforced?
Yes. The panel writes it into the mod’s own MaxPlayers setting on the server, so it is a real cap the game applies, not just a number on the page.
Do players need the same mods installed?
Not by default. A new server starts with Enforce Mods off, so players can join with any mods. Switch Enforce Mods on in the panel if you want the server to check everyone's mods against one list.
Can I pin a specific mod version?
No. The Open World Version field only applies at install, and every server gets the last release, from May 2023. To match the current mod, set Player Version to 1.3.
