If players cannot find your Sons of the Forest server in the game's dedicated server browser, they do not need to: they can connect directly with the Server Address (IP and port) from your server's Overview page. Endnight added this direct connection in Patch 09, and it does not depend on the list at all.
Join directly instead
- In the panel, copy the Server Address from the Overview page. It looks like
203.0.113.10:25574. - In Sons of the Forest, open the multiplayer menu and use the direct connection.
- Paste the whole address, port included, and type the Server Password from Settings, Game Settings.

Why is the server not in the list?
Check these, most likely first:
- The server is not ready yet. The badge must say Online and the Console must show
#DSL Dedicated server loaded.A new island takes a few minutes to generate. - The list has not finished refreshing. Endnight's Patch 09 notes added the direct connection so players can "connect directly to a specific server without waiting for the entire list of servers to refresh".
- Players search for the wrong name. The list shows the Server Name from Settings, Game Settings, not the name of the server in the panel. The new name shows after a restart.
- The server runs an older build than the player. Restart it so it installs the newest build: How to update your Sons of the Forest server.
The direct connection does not work either
- Copy the address again from the panel. A missing port is the most common mistake.
- Check the password: How to change the server name and password of your Sons of the Forest server.
- Still stuck: open a ticket with the time you tried and the last lines of the Console.
