How to Connect to Your RuneScape: Dragonwilds Server

RuneScape: DragonwildsUpdated Oct 3, 20263 min read

RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated servers are joined from inside the game. Players find your world by its exact world name, so that name plus the world password, if you set one, is what your friends need.

Find your details

Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com, then Settings and Game Settings. The World Name and World Password are there, described in our configuration guide. Players do not need the IP or the port.

Join the server

  1. Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds and sign in.
  2. Choose to join a world rather than starting a local one.
  3. Open the Worlds screen, go to the Public tab and search for your world name. It is case sensitive, and there is no direct connect.
  4. Enter the world password when asked.

Share the world name and the world password. Admin rights come from the owner ID in the server settings, not from a password.

Find your player ID

Dragonwilds identifies players by a player ID rather than a Steam ID. Yours is shown at the bottom of the in-game Settings menu. You need it to make yourself the owner of the world, in the Owner Player ID field.

The first start takes a while

A new server creates its default world before accepting anyone. Watch the panel console rather than the client.

If you cannot connect

  • Check the panel console and confirm the server has finished starting. See our troubleshooting guide.
  • Confirm you are searching for the world name and not the server name, spelled exactly, including case. The game cuts world names past 16 characters.
  • Confirm the world password matches exactly, including case.
  • A version mismatch after a game update stops joins. Restart the server so it pulls the new build.
