RuneScape: Dragonwilds keeps its settings in one file, and the panel writes five of them into it every time the server starts. Change those in the panel, because edits made in the file are overwritten.
Change the settings
- In the panel open Settings, then Game Settings.
- Change a field. Each one saves on its own.
- Restart the server. The change does not take effect until it restarts.
The file behind them is:
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/DedicatedServer.ini
If you do edit it by hand, stop the server first. Changes made while it runs are lost.
The settings
[/Script/Dominion.DedicatedServerSettings]
ServerName=My PlayNHost Dragonwilds Server
OwnerId=YOUR_PLAYER_ID
WorldPassword=
DefaultWorldName=My World
OwnerIdis the Owner Player ID field. It is your RuneScape: Dragonwilds player ID, shown at the bottom of the in-game Settings menu. It makes you the owner and admin of the world. The server starts without it, but until you set your own nobody owns the world.ServerNameis the Server Name field, up to 16 characters. It shows as the "Created By" line beside your world in the in-game server browser.WorldPasswordis the World Password field. It is what players enter to join. Empty means an open server.AdminPasswordis the Admin Password field, which the current game version does not use. See our guide on becoming an admin.DefaultWorldNameis the World Name field. It names the world the server creates on first startup, and it is the name players search for. It is case sensitive and the game cuts anything past 16 characters.ServerGuididentifies the server. Leave it alone unless you are deliberately resetting the server's identity.
Do not change the port
The port value must match the one allocated to your server, shown on the server overview. Changing it makes the server unreachable.
Slots
Your plan's slot count is the read-only Max Players field under Settings, then Game Settings. Dragonwilds is built around small groups, and the plans reflect what the game supports. Upgrade the plan in the billing area if you need more.
Apply and verify
- Restart the server.
- Read the panel console. If it stops without reaching a ready state, read it from the top of the last start for the error.
Changing the world name starts a new, empty world under the new name. The old world stays in RSDragonwilds/Saved/SaveGames and comes back if you set the old name again.
Back up first
Download DedicatedServer.ini and the save folder from Files before a round of changes.
