The panel works on phones and tablets, with a layout made for touch. Sign in with the same account you use on your computer. There is nothing to download, and you can add the panel to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Add the panel to your home screen
- iPhone and iPad: open panel.playnhost.com in Safari and tap the Share button. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Android: open panel.playnhost.com in Chrome and tap More (the three dots) next to the address bar. Choose the option to install the page or add it to your home screen. Its exact name depends on your version of Chrome.
The PlayNHost icon then opens the panel full screen, without the browser's address bar. To reload a page there, pull down from the top of the screen.
On a phone
The bottom bar
On your account pages the bar at the bottom has Servers, Store, Billing and Support. More opens the menu with everything else.
Inside a server, the bar shows that server's main pages instead. For a game server these are Overview, Console, Files and Settings. More holds the server's other pages, such as Backups, Quick Tasks and Team & Roles.
Tap the page you are already on to go back to its top.
The top of a server page
- The arrow at the start of the bar takes you back to your list of servers.
- Tap the server's name to switch to another server. Find a server searches your list.
- The round power button shows the server's state by its colour, and pulses while the server starts or stops. Tap it for Start, Restart, Stop and Kill. Use Kill only if the server will not stop, because unsaved progress is lost. See How to start, stop, restart and force-stop your server.
The menu
On your account pages, tap your picture at the top of the screen to open the menu. Inside a server, tap More. From the menu you can:
- use Search servers and pages to jump straight to a server or a page,
- open Referrals, Settings and the Knowledgebase,
- switch Appearance between dark and light, and change the Language,
- and Logout.
The bell beside your picture shows your notifications.
On a tablet
A tablet shows a menu down the side of the screen instead of the bottom bar. Every page is listed there, so nothing is hidden under More. Held upright, the menu shows icons with their names. Turned sideways, it becomes a wider list. Search and your account menu are at the bottom of it.
Good to know
- The layout follows the size of the screen, not the device. A narrow browser window on a computer gets the phone layout too.
- Arranging the cards of a server's Overview is done on a computer. Your phone and tablet then show them in the order you chose. See How to arrange the cards on your server's Overview page.
