Xbox and PlayStation players join an ARK: Survival Ascended server on PlayNHost from the game's unofficial server list, by searching its Server Name. Keep Crossplay on in Game Settings, which it is on a new server, and only use mods that are marked for every platform on CurseForge.
Check the server first
- Open your server in the panel, click the Settings tab and stay on Game Settings.
- Make sure Crossplay is on. The panel describes it as:
Lets Xbox and PlayStation players join as well as PC. Console players can only load mods that are marked for every platform on CurseForge.

- Note the Server Name above it. That is what your friends search for.
- If you changed anything, restart the server, and wait for Online.
Join from the console
- Start ARK: Survival Ascended on the Xbox or PlayStation.
- Open the list of servers to join and choose the unofficial servers.
- Search for the Server Name exactly as it is set.
- Select the server and join. If you set a Server Password, type it when the game asks.
Your server appears in the list once the Console in the panel has printed Server has completed startup and is now advertising for join.
Mods and console players
A console player can only load mods marked for every platform on CurseForge, as the Crossplay setting says. Before you add a mod to a server with console players, check on the mod's CurseForge page that it is made for every platform. See How to add mods to your ARK: Survival Ascended server.
Good to know
- Keep the game version in step: consoles update the game themselves, and the server installs the newest build at every start. See How to update your ARK: Survival Ascended server.
- Which platforms can play together: Which platforms can join your ARK: Survival Ascended server.
- Server not in the list: Your ARK: Survival Ascended server does not show in the server list.
