Open Ports & Network in the left menu and click Add a port on the All ports card. Give it a name, click Add Port, and put the number you get into the plugin's or mod's settings. The panel picks the number: you can name a port but not choose it.
Do you need one?
Most servers need only their main port. A few plugins, mods and tools listen on a port of their own, such as a web map, voice chat or a vote listener. The panel adds those ports for you when you turn the feature on from Add-ons or Bedrock crossplay, and the remote console takes one when you switch it on. Add a port by hand only when a plugin's own instructions ask for one and the panel has no switch for it.
Add a port
- Open your server in the panel and click Ports & Network in the left menu.
- On the All ports card, the header says how many ports your plan has in use, for example
2 of 3 ports used. - Click Add a port. If the button is greyed out, every port on the plan is in use. If there is no button, your plan has no extra ports, or your role cannot add ports.
- In Add Additional Port, type a Name (for example the plugin's name) and, if you like, a Description.
- Click Add Port.
Your server will restart for the new port to take effect.

Every port accepts TCP and UDP.
Use it
- Copy the new port's address from its row. It is your server's address with the new port number.
- Put the port number into the plugin's or mod's config file, under Settings or Files.
- Restart the server.
Rename, make primary, remove
The menu at the end of a port's row has:
- Rename: change its name and description.
- Make primary: make it the port players connect to. Leave the Primary port alone unless you know why: players use it to join.
- Remove port:
Anything configured to use this port stops being reachable. The port goes back to the pool and may be given to another server. The primary port, and ports the game uses beside it, cannot be removed.
You need the Add ports, Change ports or Remove ports permission for each.
Good to know
- The address to give players is at the top of the page under Give this to your players, and on the Play with friends card.
- A port added by a feature has that feature's name, such as
Remote console (RCON)orBedrock crossplay (Geyser). Removing it stops the feature. - More about ports in general: How to find and change your server's ports and IP address.
