Open Players in the left menu and click the Vehicles tab. Add a vehicle's model name under Blocked vehicles, or turn on Limit cars per player, then click Save rules. On a running server the rules apply at once. Max Cars in Settings is BeamMP's own limit and needs a restart.
Block a vehicle
- Open your server in the panel and click Players in the left menu.
- Click the Vehicles tab.
- Under Blocked vehicles, type the vehicle's model name, for example
pickuporetk800, and click Block. Cars that were on your server are listed under Seen on your server: click one to block it. - Click Save rules. The panel says
Vehicle rules saved.

A player who spawns one of these gets it removed and a short message. Changing a car into a blocked model is refused the same way.
The model name is the folder name BeamNG uses: letters, numbers, - and _ only. A player's car models also show as chips on their row on the Players tab. To allow a vehicle again, click the small remove button on its name in the blocked list (for screen readers it is called Allow pickup again, with the model's name), then Save rules.
Limit cars per player
- On the same tab, turn on Limit cars per player.
- Set the number, from 1 to 100.
- Click Save rules.
The lower of this and the server's own limit applies, and walking around (the unicycle) never counts. The card shows the server's own limit as The server itself allows ... per player.
The server's own limit: Max Cars
Max Cars in Settings, Game Settings is BeamMP's limit, from 1 to 10, and 1 on a new server. Type a number, press Enter and restart the server. Use Max Cars for the normal limit, and the Vehicles tab for a lower limit or a blocked model that applies without a restart.
Remove someone's cars now
On the Players tab, open ... on a player's row and choose Remove vehicles…. Every car they have spawned is deleted; they stay on the server. See How to kick or ban a player on your BeamMP server.
Good to know
- Discard throws away changes you have not saved. The bar says
You have changes that are not saved yet.until you save. - The message a player gets for a blocked vehicle can be changed on the Access tab, under What a refused player reads, Blocked vehicle (sent in chat).
- Refused spawns show on the Chat tab under Turned away, for example
tried to spawn pigeon, which is blocked. - The rules need the PlayNHost tools on. Changing them needs Use the console and the files permissions Read contents and Create and upload.
- Fewer cars per player keeps a busy server lighter: How much RAM does a BeamMP server need?
