PLAY PLAINS OF PAIN

Plains of Pain is Cobra Byte Digital's Early Access survival game, where factions fight over outposts and each world is shaped by a unique seed. Windows players join through Steam with their own copy; there is no console version. The server uses two UDP ports, game and query, and the panel fills in both.

WORLD ID, SEED AND DIFFICULTY

World ID, World Seed and Difficulty, from Rookies up to Overlord, are Settings fields written into configs/server.json at each start. Enter a World ID that does not exist yet and the server creates a new world, keeping the old one under its own number. This game has no mod or Workshop support here.

How many players can a Plains of Pain server hold?
10, 20 or 40, by plan, and the panel enforces it. Max Players goes into configs/server.json as maxPlayers on every start, and any higher value is refused. The game itself allows up to 200 players, but the developer's guide asks for 16 to 32 GB RAM at that size, so our plans stop well below it.
Can I choose my own world settings?
Yes. World Seed, World Size, Difficulty and Map ID are Settings fields written into configs/server.json. Each world is shaped by its seed when it is created, so to try different values on a fresh map, enter a new World ID: the server builds a new world and keeps the old one under its own number.
Which Plains of Pain plan should I pick?
Follow the developer's server guide: 4 GB RAM for a small world and 8 GB for a large one. That makes OUTPOST (4 GB) the starting point for a small world and WASTELAND (8 GB) the plan for a large world or a bigger group. SCAVENGER (2 GB) is below the developer's minimum.
