Questions

Nightingale hosting questions we get most often. The knowledgebase has the rest.

Why are the player counts so low?
Because Nightingale is a co-op game and that is the size it is designed for. Six, seven and eight are the realistic party sizes, and the tiers differ mainly in how much realm the server can hold rather than in how many people can be in it.
Then what does the extra RAM buy me?
Realms. Nightingale generates and keeps the realms your party has visited, and a built up estate with several connected realms is what fills memory. A group that plays for months on one server wants the larger tier for that reason, not for the eighth slot.
Can I put a password on it?
Yes, and two of them. There is a connection password that gates joining and a separate admin password for server administration. Both are panel fields.
Can I change the difficulty?
Yes, difficulty is a panel field. Set it, restart, and the realm applies it.
Does the server update itself?
Automatic updates are on by default, so a patch day usually means a restart. You can switch it off in the panel to hold a build.
