Change your Insurgency server name, password and map

Insurgency reads insurgency/cfg/server.cfg every time it loads a map. The starting map and mode are chosen when the server launches.

Command	What it does
`hostname`	The name in the server browser.
`sv_password`	Password to join. Empty means open.
`rcon_password`	Password for remote admin commands.
`sv_lan`	Must be 0 for an internet server.
`mp_timelimit`	Minutes per map.
`sv_alltalk`	Lets both teams hear each other.

In Insurgency a map is always paired with a game mode, written as the map name, a space, then the mode, for example sinjar checkpoint.

The starting pair is a launch value, set on the Startup page of your server. That page is not linked in the sidebar, so add /startup to the end of your server's panel address.
The rotation is insurgency/cfg/mapcycle.txt, one map and mode pair per line.
To change map now, run changelevel sinjar checkpoint in the Console tab in the panel.

A mode that a map does not support leaves the server stuck on load, so keep the pairs to ones the game ships with.

insurgency/cfg/motd.txt holds the text shown to players as they join. Keep it short.

Save the file.
Start the server, or run exec server.cfg in the console to reload without a restart.
Run status to confirm the hostname and map.

Check the spelling. The console silently skips unknown commands.
Run exec server.cfg by hand to see the errors printed.
Some settings are reset by the mode on each map load. Put those in the mode's own config file instead.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area if a setting will not hold.
