GAME SERVERS
Game PanelEvery convoy setting is in server_config.sii. The server writes it on the first start, so start the server once before you go looking for it.
1. Open the file
- Stop the server in the Game Panel.
- Open the Files tab and find
server_config.sii, next toserver_packages.siiin the server's data folder.
2. The settings you will change

lobby_name | The name in the Convoy browser. |
description | One line under the name. |
welcome_message | Shown to a player as they join. |
password | Leave empty for an open session. |
max_players | Player slots. Convoy supports up to 8. |
player_damage | Whether trucks damage each other. |
traffic | AI traffic on or off. |
hide_in_company | Hides trucks in company areas so they do not collide. |
friends_only | Restricts the session to your Steam friends. |
show_server | Whether the session is listed at all. |
server_logon_token | Your Steam game server token. |
Text values keep their quotation marks. Numbers and true or false do not take them.
3. Adding moderators
Moderators are listed by Steam64 ID, and the count line must match the number of entries:
moderator_list: 1
moderator_list[0]: 76561198000000000
A count that does not match the entries makes the whole file fail to load.
4. The Steam game server token
- Go to the Steam game server account management page on your own Steam account.
- Create a token for App ID 227300, which is Euro Truck Simulator 2.
- Paste it into
server_logon_token.
The token belongs to your Steam account and you can revoke it at any time. Keep it private.
5. Save and restart
- Save the file.
- Start the server and check the console for the session name and Search ID.
Editing while the server runs does not work, because it rewrites the file on shutdown.
