Why are there only two plans?
Because Vein's useful range is narrow. Sixteen players on 6GB is a full server for this game, and twenty four on 8GB is the top of it. There is no third tier because there is nothing honest to sell in one.
Can I make the server private?
Yes. Public listing is a panel toggle and there is a server password field beside it. Turn listing off, set a password, and it is a private world for your group.
Does it update itself?
Automatic updates are on by default, which matters because Vein is in early access and patches regularly. You can turn it off in the panel if you need to hold a build.
How much RAM do I actually need?
Start at 6GB. Vein keeps the world state persistent, and that grows with what your players have built and looted rather than with how many are online at once.
Can I edit the server files?
Yes, through the web file manager and over SFTP. Stop the server before editing, so your changes are not overwritten when it shuts down.
