Is Bedrock a different product from Java?
No. Java and Bedrock use the same plans and the same prices. You order a Minecraft plan and choose Friends on phones and consoles in the setup wizard, or later press Enable crossplay on the Bedrock crossplay card under Ports & Network.
Is it the official Bedrock server?
No. Mojang's Bedrock Dedicated Server is not offered as a server type at the moment. Your server runs Minecraft Java Edition, and Bedrock crossplay installs Geyser and Floodgate so Bedrock players can join it.
Who can join a Bedrock server?
Bedrock Edition players on Windows, Android and iPhone or iPad can add the server by address and port. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch have no Add Server button, so console players need a workaround.
Can Java and Bedrock players play together?
Yes. With Bedrock crossplay on, Java and Bedrock players join the same server and share one world.
Can I turn crossplay on later?
Yes. On an existing server, open Ports & Network, press Enable crossplay on the Bedrock crossplay card and restart the server. It uses one port of your plan.
