Last Oasis Server Hosting

Last Oasis is a nomadic survival game played on walkers, wooden machines you build, crew and drive ahead of a sun that will burn anything that stops moving. A private tile is where a clan builds its walkers without a stranger's ballista deciding otherwise.

Asked

Questions

Last Oasis hosting questions we get most often. Anything else, ask support.

Do I need keys from the developers?
Yes. Last Oasis private servers use a customer key and a provider key issued by Donkey Crew. Both are panel fields you fill in after purchase, not at checkout. Once they are in, restart and the server registers itself.
How much RAM does it need?
6GB is the entry point. Last Oasis is an Unreal Engine survival game with large tiles and physics driven walkers, and both of those cost memory before any player connects. A busy clan server with several walker fleets is a 10GB or 16GB job.
How many players fit on a tile?
The plans here run 17, 25 and 35. In practice a walker crew is a handful of people, so those numbers describe how many crews share the map rather than how many are in one machine.
Can I configure the game rules?
Yes, in the server's own configuration files. You get the full directory through the web file manager and over SFTP. Stop the server before editing so nothing is written over on shutdown.
Why is there a server identifier field?
Last Oasis identifies each tile by name to the backend. The identifier is what your server calls itself, and it is a panel field so you can set it to something meaningful for your clan.
