How to Connect to Your Unturned Server

Unturned uses a small block of ports. The port you were assigned is the connect port, and the game also uses the next two numbers above it internally. Players only ever type the first one.

Find your address

Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com. The overview shows the IP and the assigned port. That pair is what you share.

Join from the game

1. Launch Unturned and choose Play, then Servers.
2. Open the Connect tab.
3. Enter the IP and the port in the two fields, plus the password if one is set.
4. Click Connect.

This works immediately, before the server has registered with the master list.

Find it in the server list

1. From Servers, use the browser and type part of your server name.
2. Make sure the filters are not hiding it. The list defaults tend to filter out modded servers, servers with a password and servers with no players.

Add it to Steam favourites

1. In Steam, open View, then Game Servers.
2. On the Favorites tab, click Add a Server.
3. Enter the IP with the query port, which is your assigned port plus one.

If you cannot connect

• Check the panel console. Unturned prints the map load and then reports the server is ready.
• If the server runs workshop content, your client downloads it on connect. A long pause at the loading screen is normal the first time.
• A version mismatch after an Unturned update needs a server restart so it pulls the new build.
• If you are kicked immediately with a message about a missing mod, subscribe to the workshop items the server runs and restart Steam.
