How to Connect to Your Trackmania Server

Trackmania dedicated servers are found in the game's own server list. Your server also has an XML-RPC port, which is used by admin tools and never by a player.

Find your details

Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com. The overview shows the IP and the ports assigned to SERVER_PORT and XMLRPC_PORT.

Join the server

1. Launch Trackmania and open the multiplayer or server list section.
2. Search for your server name, as set in server_options in the dedicated config.
3. Join, entering the player password if one is set.

Trackmania servers register with the master server using the dedicated server account configured on the server, so the name is how everyone finds you.

Favourite it

Mark the server as a favourite once you have found it. The list is long and searching by name each time is unnecessary.

Player and spectator passwords

Trackmania has two separate passwords in the config: one to play and one to spectate. If your players report being able to watch but not race, the play password is set and has not been shared.

If you cannot connect

• Check the panel console. Trackmania logs its startup, its master server login and the map it loads.
• A server that failed to authenticate with the master server does not appear in the list. See our troubleshooting guide.
• Confirm the ports in the config match the ones on your server overview.
• A version mismatch after a game update hides the server from updated clients. Restart the server so it pulls the new build.
