One bot plan runs any of the supported bot types. You choose the type after you buy, and you can change it later.
The types
- Node.js Bot, Python Bot, Java Bot and .NET Bot (C#) run your own code.
- Red, Muse and JMusicBot are ready-made bots.
Change the type
- Open your server in the panel and stay on Overview.
- Click Edit Server Type (the chip that shows the current type at the top).
- Choose the new type and follow the steps.
- The server reinstalls. By default the dialog deletes the server's files, so download or back up anything you want to keep first. See How to create, download and restore backups.
- Fill in the new type's fields under Settings, Game Settings and start the server.
Good to know
- Your plan, memory, storage and database stay the same. Only the software changes.
- The Discord token you saved is kept in the new type's token field only if the new type uses the same setting; check it after switching.
- You are billed the same. A type change is not an upgrade.
- To run two different bots at once you need two bot servers.
