Panel de JuegosFoundry keeps its settings in a single plain text file called App.cfg, in the root of your server. Each line is a setting, an equals sign and a value, with no quotation marks.
1. Open the file
- Stop the server in the Game Panel and wait for it to report offline.
- Open the Files tab and click
App.cfg. If it is not there, start the server once and stop it again.
2. The settings you will change

server_password | Password to join. Leave empty for an open server. |
server_max_players | Player slots. |
server_world_name | The save folder. A new value starts a new world. |
server_is_public | Whether the server is listed publicly. |
autosave_interval | Seconds between saves. |
pause_server_when_empty | Pauses the factory when nobody is online. |
mapseed | The seed, used only when a world is first generated. |
server_port and server_query_port | Already set to your allocation. Do not change them. |
A finished line looks like server_name=Happy Place, with no quotation marks.
3. Save and restart
- Save the file.
- Start the server and read the console for the world it loaded.
4. Starting a new world
Set server_world_name to a name that does not exist yet, and set mapseed if you want a specific map. The server creates a new world and leaves the old one on disk. Changing the seed alone does nothing to a world that already exists.
5. Pausing when empty
pause_server_when_empty stops the factory running while nobody is online. It saves resources but it also means your production is frozen between sessions. Turn it off if you want the belts running overnight.
If a setting does not apply, confirm the server was stopped when you saved and check for a typo in the setting name. Unknown names are ignored without an error.
