How to Connect to Your Wreckfest Server

Wreckfest servers are found in the multiplayer browser. Your server uses three ports: the game port players connect on, a Steam port and a query port the browser reads.

Find your details

Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com. The overview shows the IP and the ports assigned to SERVER_PORT, QUERY_PORT and STEAM_PORT.

Join from the browser

1. Launch Wreckfest and choose Multiplayer.
2. Open the server browser and switch to the custom or community server list.
3. Clear the filters, particularly the ones hiding password protected and empty servers.
4. Search for your server name as set in server_config.cfg.
5. Join, entering the password if one is set.

Add it to Steam favourites

1. In Steam, open View, then Game Servers.
2. On the Favorites tab click Add a Server.
3. Enter IP:PORT using the QUERY_PORT value.

The server then shows under favourites in Wreckfest, which is quicker than searching the list every time.

If you cannot connect

• Check the panel console. Wreckfest logs its startup and the track it loads.
• Confirm the ports in the config match the values on the server overview.
• A version mismatch after a game update hides the server from updated clients. Restart the server so it pulls the new build.
• If the server is full, Wreckfest simply will not let you in. Check the player count in the browser.
