Stationeers servers are joined by address. Your server also has an update port, used for content, which players never type in.
Find your address
Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com. The overview shows the IP and the ports assigned to SERVER_PORT and UPDATE_PORT. Players connect on SERVER_PORT.
Join the server
- Launch Stationeers and choose Join Game.
- Select the direct connect or Join by IP option.
- Enter the address as
203.0.113.10:27016, using your own IP and port. - Enter the server password if one is set.
- Connect.
That address line is what you send to your friends, along with the password.
The public list
Stationeers has a public server list, but it is slow and heavily filtered. A direct join by IP is faster and always works, so use the list only if you want strangers to find you.
The first start takes a while
A new server generates its world before it accepts anyone. Watch the panel console rather than the client.
If you cannot connect
- Check the panel console. Stationeers logs the world loading and then reports the server is ready.
- Confirm you used
SERVER_PORTand not the update port. - A version mismatch after a game update is refused. Restart the server so it pulls the new build, and check whether the server and your client are on the same branch, since Stationeers has a beta branch that is not compatible with the default one.
- If the password is rejected, check the config with the server stopped. Editing it while running loses the change.
