RuneScape: Dragonwilds keeps its settings in one file. One of them is required, and the server will not start without it, so read the owner ID section before anything else.
Open the file
- Stop the server. Changes made while it runs are lost.
- In the panel open Files and go to:
RSDragonwilds/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/DedicatedServer.ini
The settings
[/Script/Dominion.DedicatedServerSettings]
ServerName=My PlayNHost Dragonwilds Server
OwnerId=YOUR_PLAYER_ID
WorldPassword=
AdminPassword=a-long-password-here
DefaultWorldName=My World
OwnerIdis required. It is your RuneScape: Dragonwilds player ID, shown at the bottom of the in-game Settings menu. The server will not start without it.ServerNameis the name of the server regardless of which world it is running.WorldPasswordis what players enter to join. Empty means an open server.AdminPasswordis separate. Anyone who knows it becomes an admin. See our guide on becoming an admin.DefaultWorldNamenames the world the server creates on first startup.ServerGuididentifies the server. Leave it alone unless you are deliberately resetting the server's identity.
Do not change the port
The port value must match the one allocated to your server, shown on the server overview. Changing it makes the server unreachable.
Slots
Your plan's slot count is applied through the MAX_PLAYERS variable on your server's Startup Settings page, reachable from the server overview. Dragonwilds is built around small groups, and the plans reflect what the game supports. Upgrade the plan in the billing area if you need more.
Apply and verify
- Save the file.
- Start the server.
- Read the panel console. If it stops without reaching a ready state, check the owner ID first.
Back up first
Download DedicatedServer.ini and the save folder from Files before a round of changes.
