How to become an admin on your Conan Exiles server

Conan Exiles admin access is a password. Anyone who knows it can claim admin rights, so keep it to yourself and your moderators.

1. Set the admin password

1. Stop the server in the Game Panel.
2. Open ServerSettings.ini in the config folder under ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/.
3. Under [ServerSettings], set AdminPassword=YourAdminPassword.
4. Save and start the server.

Do not reuse your panel or billing password.

2. Claim admin in game

1. Join the server.
2. Press Escape and open Settings.
3. Go to the Server Settings tab.
4. Enter the admin password and choose Make Me Admin.

The admin panel opens with the Insert key by default once you have rights.

3. What admin gives you

• The full server settings panel, including gameplay multipliers, without touching a file.
• The admin panel for spawning items, teleporting and flying.
• Player moderation, including kick and ban.
• Ghost mode with ghost and back with walk in the console.

4. Settings changed in game

Changes you make through the in game server settings panel are held in memory and written to the config files when the server shuts down. If you want them to survive, stop the server cleanly from the panel rather than killing it.

5. If Make Me Admin does not work

• Check that the server restarted after you set the password. The file is read at boot.
• Check for a space at the end of the password in the file.
• Confirm you edited ServerSettings.ini and not one of the other two config files.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area if the password is right and admin is still refused.
