Игровая панельBarotrauma keeps its server settings in serversettings.xml in the server root. The file is written by the server, so start it once before you go looking for the file.
1. Open the file
- Stop the server in the Game Panel and wait for it to report offline. Barotrauma writes this file on shutdown, so edits made while it runs are thrown away.
- Open the Files tab and click
serversettings.xml.
2. The settings you will change

traitorsenabled | Controls whether traitors can be assigned. |
3. Do not change the port here
The port is set when the server process launches, and that value wins over anything in this file. Your server is already launched with the port allocated to your service. Editing the port in serversettings.xml will not move the server and only makes the file disagree with reality.
4. Save and restart
- Save the file.
- Start the server and check the console for the name it registered.
5. Changing settings from inside the game
Most of these settings also appear in the server settings window in game, available to anyone with the right permissions. Changes made there are written back to serversettings.xml when the server shuts down, which is the tidiest way to work: change it in game, then stop the server to make it permanent.
If a setting keeps reverting, you edited the file while the server was running. Stop it first.
