How to connect to your HumanitZ server

This article covers joining your PlayNHost HumanitZ server and what to give the people playing with you.

1. Find your server address

1. Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing and open your HumanitZ service.
2. Note the IP / Hostname and Port.
3. The same details are on the server dashboard in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com.

2. Start the server

1. Open the server in the Game Panel and click Start.
2. Watch the Console. The first start creates the world and takes a few minutes.
3. Wait until the server reports it is running before joining.

3. Join from the game

1. Launch HumanitZ.
2. Choose the multiplayer option and open the server browser.
3. Search for your server name.
4. If the browser offers a direct connect field, enter IP:Port instead. That route does not wait for the list.
5. Enter the password if one is set.

4. What to give your friends

• The exact server name for the browser.
• The IP and port for direct connect.
• The password, if you set one.

5. If nobody can find the server

• Avoid the word Official in your server name. HumanitZ can refuse to start or to list a server named that way.
• Give a newly started server a few minutes before it appears.
• Check the player limit in the config, and confirm everyone is on the same game version.
• Restart the server from the panel after a game update so it updates too.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with your IP, port and the exact error if it continues.
