Craftopia support tickets fall into a short list. Check these in order.
1. Nobody can join by IP
The usual cause is the Steam lobby setting.
- Stop the server.
- Open
ServerSetting.iniin the Files tab. - Under
[Host], setisUseSteamLobbyto 0. - Save and start the server, then join with the IP and port from your panel.
With the lobby enabled, the server is not reachable by address at all.
2. The password is not accepted
- Craftopia passwords are numeric, up to eight digits. Letters are rejected.
usePasswordmust be 1 for the password to be asked for at all.- Check for a stray space in the value.
3. The world is empty after a restart
- The server loads the folder named in
savePath. If that value changed, it started a new world and the old one is still on disk. - Open the Files tab and look for the previous save folder, then point
savePathback at it. - Nothing is deleted by switching. Download a copy before you experiment.
4. Settings do not apply
- Stop the server before editing. Craftopia writes its files as it runs.
- Each setting must be under its own section header, such as
[Host]or[GameWorld]. A line under the wrong header is ignored with no error. - Read the console during boot to see what the server loaded.
5. Players are dropped or the world lags
- Restart the server after a game update so it matches the clients.
- A very large base with many placed objects costs memory. If the console shows the process being killed rather than a game error, the server ran out of memory and a larger plan is the fix.
- Lower
maxPlayerNumberif you are running near the limit of your plan.
Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the last 50 lines of console output if none of this fits.
