This article covers joining your PlayNHost Arma Reforger server.
1. Find your server address
- Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing and open your Arma Reforger service.
- Note the IP / Hostname and Port. Reforger uses 2001 as the game port by default, with a separate query port that the server browser uses.
2. Start the server and let it settle
- Open the server in the Game Panel and click Start.
- Watch the Console. If your server loads mods, it downloads them from the Workshop on this first start, which can take a while.
- Wait for the line reporting the scenario has loaded.
3. Find the server in the browser
- Launch Arma Reforger and choose Multiplayer.
- Type your server name into the search field.
- Clear the filters, especially the ones for official servers, modded servers and full servers.
- Select the server and join, entering the password if one is set.
If the browser offers a direct join option, entering your IP and port there gets you in without waiting for the list.
4. What to give your group
- The exact server name to search for.
- The join password, if you set one.
- A note that modded servers download their mods to the client on join, so the first connection is slow.
5. If it is missing from the list
- Check that
visibleistruein the server config. - Check the console for errors about the scenario. A server that failed to load a scenario stays up but does not register properly.
- Console players only see the server if cross platform play is enabled in the config.
Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the console output if the server is running and still cannot be found.
