How to Connect to Your Operation: Harsh Doorstop Server

Operation: Harsh Doorstop servers appear in the in-game community browser. Your server also has a query port and an RCON port, which players never enter.

Find your address

Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com. The overview shows the IP and the ports assigned to SERVER_PORT, QUERY_PORT and RCON_PORT. Players connect on SERVER_PORT.

Join from the browser

1. Launch the game and open the server browser.
2. Switch to the community or custom tab.
3. Clear the filters, particularly the ones hiding modded, empty and password protected servers.
4. Search for your server name and join.

Join directly

Operation: Harsh Doorstop is built on Unreal Engine, so the standard console connect works:

1. Open the console with the tilde key at the main menu.
2. Run:

   open 203.0.113.10:7777

   using your IP and SERVER_PORT.

This works before the server has registered with the browser, which makes it the right thing to send while you are still setting up.

The first join downloads mods

If the server runs workshop mods, your client downloads them on connect. A long first join is normal, and shorter afterwards.

If you cannot connect

• Check the panel console. The server logs the map loading and then reports it is ready.
• Confirm you used SERVER_PORT and not the query port.
• A version mismatch after a game update hides the server from updated clients. Restart the server so it pulls the new build.
