How to connect to your Euro Truck Simulator 2 convoy server

Euro Truck Simulator 2 convoy servers are not joined by typing an IP address. Players find them in the Convoy browser, by name or by a Session Search ID the server prints in its console.

1. Start the server and read the console

1. Open your server in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com and click Start.
2. Watch the Console. Once the session registers, the server prints a Session Search ID, a long number with a slash in the middle.
3. Copy that line. It is the fastest way for a friend to find your server.

2. Join from the game

1. Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2.
2. Open Convoy from the main menu.
3. Choose the option to browse or search sessions.
4. Paste the Session Search ID into the search field, or type part of your server name.
5. Select the session and join, entering the password if one is set.

3. What to give your friends

• The Session Search ID from the console.
• The exact server name as a fallback.
• The password, if you set one.
• The map DLC your server was built with. A player who does not own it cannot join. See the server packages guide in this category.

There is no direct IP entry in the Convoy browser, so an IP and port alone is not enough for a player to connect.

4. If the session does not appear

• Check the console for a message about the logon token. Without a valid Steam game server token the session is never published.
• Confirm show_server is true and friends_only is false in server_config.sii.
• Wait a minute after the server reports the session is up, then search again.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the console output from a fresh start if it stays missing.
