Clone Hero songs do not match between players

The most common Clone Hero support question is a song that one player can pick and another cannot play. This is expected behaviour, not a fault, and there is a simple way to avoid it.

1. The server does not distribute songs

Charts live on each player's own PC. The server coordinates the session, it does not send music or note charts to anybody. If a player does not have the song installed, they cannot play it.

2. Identical files, not just the same song

• Two versions of the same chart from different sources are different files, and the game treats them as different songs.
• Editing a chart on one PC and not the others has the same effect.
• The safe approach is one person builds the song folder and shares that exact folder with everyone else.

3. How to set up a session

1. Agree on a song pack before you start.
2. One player zips their Songs folder, or the part of it you are using, and shares it.
3. Everyone unpacks it into their own songs folder and rescans their library in the game settings.
4. Join the server and check that the same songs appear for everyone.

4. Other reasons a player cannot join a song

• Different game versions. Everyone should be on the same Clone Hero build, and the server too. Restart the server from the panel after a game update.
• An instrument or difficulty that a chart does not include. Not every chart has every part.
• A song still being scanned. Let the library scan finish before joining.

5. If the session drops instead

1. Check the Console in the Game Panel while it happens. Disconnects are logged there with a reason.
2. Confirm the server is not full.
3. Restart the server from the panel and try one short song to prove the connection.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the console output if players keep dropping on a server that is otherwise healthy.
