GAME SERVERS
Game PanelMordhau keeps its server settings in Game.ini, in the config folder under Mordhau/Saved/Config/. On a Linux build the folder inside is LinuxServer.
1. Open the file
- Stop the server in the Game Panel and wait for it to report offline. Mordhau writes its config from memory on shutdown, so an edit made while it runs is thrown away.
- Open the Files tab and browse to the config folder.
- Open
Game.ini.
2. The settings you will change
These live under the [/Script/Mordhau.MordhauGameSession] header:

ServerName | The name in the server browser. |
ServerPassword | Password to join. Empty means open. |
AdminPassword | Password for admin access. Keep it separate from the join password. |
MaxSlots | Player slots. |
Admins | The accounts with admin rights. See the admin guide in this category. |
MapRotation | The maps the server cycles through, one entry per line. |
RconPassword | Password for remote console access. |
BannedPlayers | The ban list. |
3. Setting a map rotation
- Add one
MapRotationline per map, using the map names the game uses. - Remove the maps you do not want rather than leaving them in and hoping.
- Save and restart, then watch the console for the map it loads first.
4. Save and restart
- Save the file.
- Start the server and read the console for the name and map.
- Join once to confirm the password works as expected.
5. If a setting reverts
- You edited while the server was running. Stop it first, every time.
- The line is under the wrong section header and is ignored without an error.
- Some values are also set at launch, and those win over the file. Check the Startup page of your server, which you reach by adding
/startupto the end of its panel address.
Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the setting name and the value you want if it will not hold.
