How to Become an Admin on Your Palworld Server

Palworld has no admin list. Anyone who knows the admin password can become an admin for that session, so treat it like a root password.

Set the admin password

1. Stop the server.
2. In the panel open Files and edit:

   Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

3. Inside the single OptionSettings=(...) line, set:

   AdminPassword="a-long-password-here"

   Keep it on the same line, with no spaces after the commas.
4. Save and start the server.

Authenticate in game

1. Join the server.
2. Open the chat window.
3. Type:

   /AdminPassword a-long-password-here

4. The chat confirms you are an admin. This lasts until you disconnect.

The admin commands

• /ShowPlayers lists everyone online with their player UID and Steam ID. You need the UID for the commands below.
• /KickPlayer <SteamID>
• /BanPlayer <SteamID>
• /UnBanPlayer <SteamID>
• /TeleportToPlayer <SteamID> and /TeleportToMe <SteamID>
• /Broadcast <message> sends a message to everyone. It does not accept spaces in some builds, so keep it short.
• /Save forces a world save. Run it before any manual restart.
• /Shutdown <seconds> <message> warns players and then stops the server cleanly.
• /DoExit stops the server immediately, without the warning.

Administering from the panel instead

The same commands are available over RCON, which your server has on its own RCON_PORT. The RCON password is the AdminPassword value. Set RCONEnabled=True and RCONPort to your allocated port inside the OptionSettings line if you want to use an external RCON client.

If the admin command is rejected

• The password is case sensitive and must match exactly, including any punctuation.
• If the whole OptionSettings line was malformed, every setting including the admin password reverted to defaults. Check that your server name is still what you set, which is the quickest way to spot it.
• Admin does not persist across a disconnect. Run the command again after rejoining.
