How to set up your Last Oasis realm and server keys

A Last Oasis server needs to be attached to a realm before it will do anything useful. The realm lives on the official MyRealm site and hands you two keys.

1. Create the realm

1. Sign in to the official MyRealm site with your own Steam account.
2. Create a realm and give it the name your players will look for.
3. Open the settings section of the realm.

2. Copy the two keys

• The customer key, shown as the game server registration key, is the same for every server in a realm. There is one per realm owner.
• The provider key identifies the machine hosting a server. It can be used on more than one server in the same realm.

Both are secrets. Anyone with them can register servers into your realm, so do not paste them into a public channel.

3. Set them on your server

1. Stop the server in the Game Panel.
2. Open the Startup page for your server. It is not linked in the sidebar, so add /startup to the end of your server's panel address.
3. Fill in the fields for the customer key and provider key.
4. Set the identifier. It must be unique for each server in your realm, since it is how the backend tells your tiles apart.
5. Set the slots value for the number of players you want on the tile.
6. Leave the port fields alone. They are set to match the ports allocated to your service.
7. Start the server and read the console for the registration message.

4. Realm settings live on the site

Most of what shapes the realm, including its description, its password and the decay rules per tile, is edited on the MyRealm site rather than on the server. Changes there apply to the realm, and the server picks them up when it next registers.

5. If registration fails

• Read the console. The failure names which key was rejected.
• A duplicate identifier stops a second server registering. Give each one its own.
• Copy the keys again from the site rather than retyping them, since they are long.
• Restart the server after any change. The keys are read at launch.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the console output if registration keeps failing.
