How to connect to your Avorion server

This article covers joining your PlayNHost Avorion server and what to give the rest of your crew.

1. Find your server address

1. Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing and open your Avorion service.
2. Note the IP / Hostname and Port. Avorion uses 27000 by default, and your service may use another port.

2. Start the server

1. Open your server in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com and click Start.
2. Watch the Console. The first start generates the galaxy, which takes a few minutes.
3. Wait for the line reporting the server is up before you try to join.

3. Add the server in game

1. Launch Avorion and choose Multiplayer.
2. Use the option to add a server by address.
3. Enter your IP and Port.
4. Select the server and connect, entering the password if one is set.

The server stays in your list afterwards, so you only type the address once.

4. Public listing

Your server appears in the public browser only when isListed is true in server.ini. If you keep it unlisted, everyone joins by address instead. See the settings guide in this category.

5. What to give your crew

• The IP and port.
• The password, if you set one.
• The mod list, if the server runs mods. Players need the same workshop mods.

If a player cannot connect, check the player limit in server.ini and confirm everyone is on the same game version. Open a ticket from Support with the exact error if it continues.
