How to Connect to Your RimWorld Together Server

RimWorld Together is a mod, not a separate game. Every player, including you, needs the free mod installed before anything else will work.

Install the mod

1. Subscribe to RimWorld Together on the Steam Workshop.
2. Launch RimWorld and enable the mod in the mod list.
3. Restart RimWorld when prompted.

Everyone joining the server needs the same version of the mod. A version mismatch is refused at the connect.

Find your address

Open your server at https://panel.playnhost.com. The overview shows the IP and the assigned port, which must match the port in the server's ServerConfig.json.

Connect

1. From the RimWorld main menu, open the multiplayer option the mod adds.
2. Enter the server IP and port.
3. Connect and choose or create your colony.

The first player creates the world

The first player to connect generates the shared world, along with the mod list everyone will use. That means:

• Decide your mod list before anyone joins for the first time.
• Connect yourself first, so the world is created with the settings you want.
• Changing the mod list afterwards affects everyone and can break existing colonies.

If you cannot connect

• Check the panel console. The server logs its startup and each connection attempt with the reason for a refusal.
• Confirm the port in ServerConfig.json matches the one on the server overview.
• Confirm your RimWorld Together mod version matches the server's. This is by far the most common cause.
• Confirm your RimWorld version and mod list match what the server expects.
