Is this the real Quake Live dedicated server?
Yes. It runs the native Linux qzeroded binary id Software ships for dedicated servers, not a Windows build under a compatibility layer.
How much RAM does a Quake Live server actually need?
Very little at idle: our own measurement of a freshly started server with nobody connected sat around 41 MB. The tiers exist for player count and headroom under load, not because the game is heavy.
Can I set a server password or custom hostname?
Yes, both are panel fields you can change any time without a support ticket.
Do I need to own Quake Live to run a server?
