Do my players need GTA: San Andreas?
Yes. Multi Theft Auto is a client modification for the original San Andreas, so every player needs their own copy of the game and the MTA client. The server does not need one.
How do I install resources and scripts?
Upload them into the resources directory over SFTP or with the web file manager, then start them from the server console or your mtaserver.conf. MTA's resource model is files on disk, and you get those files.
How much RAM do I need?
MTA is old and light, so 2GB covers a twelve player server easily. The reason to go up is scripting: a full roleplay gamemode with a database behind it and dozens of running resources is where 4GB and 8GB start to matter.
Can I run a roleplay or racing server?
Yes, both. MTA's gamemodes are just resources, so what your server is depends entirely on what you install. That is why full file access matters more here than any settings form would.
Is there a web admin panel?
MTA ships its own admin resource with a web interface, and its port is already allocated on your server. Enable the resource and it is reachable.
