PLAY KISSMP MULTIPLAYER

KissMP is one of two multiplayer mods for BeamNG.drive and the lighter of the pair. Every player installs the same KissMP build as the server, and once they have it the lobby is yours: your map, your vehicle list and your rules on collisions.

KISSMP, VEHICLES, MAPS

Vehicle and map mods have to match across the server and everyone connecting to it, so the mod list is decided once rather than argued about at the start of a session. Files go in over SFTP and the server distributes from there.

What is KissMP?
A multiplayer mod for BeamNG.drive, maintained as an open source project. It runs its own dedicated server, which is what you are renting here, and players connect to it from their own copy of the game.
How is this different from BeamMP?
They are two separate mods for the same game, by different projects, and they are not compatible with each other. Players joining your server need the same mod you are running. We host both, so pick the one your group already uses.
How many players can join?
Between 17 and 64 depending on the plan, and the number you buy is written into the server's own config, so it is a real cap rather than a label. BeamNG is demanding on the client side, so the practical ceiling is usually your players' machines rather than the server.
Why are the plans so small?
Because the server genuinely is. We measured one idling at two megabytes across a fifteen minute hold, which is the lightest figure in our whole catalogue. Selling a 16 GB KissMP plan would be selling memory that would never be used.
Do I need to buy BeamNG.drive?
You and your players each need your own copy of BeamNG.drive, plus the KissMP client mod. The server itself does not need a copy of the game and does not need a Steam account.
Can I set a server name and password?
Yes. Server name and the player cap are panel settings that get written into the server config, and the rest of the config file is reachable over SFTP.
