A bot has to be invited to each Discord server it works in. You need the Manage Server permission on that server to add it.
Build the invite link
- In the Discord Developer Portal, open your application and go to OAuth2, then URL Generator.
- Under Scopes tick
bot. If your bot uses slash commands, also tickapplications.commands. - A list of Bot Permissions appears. Tick only what the bot needs, for example Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History. A music bot also needs Connect and Speak.
- Copy the generated URL at the bottom, open it in your browser, choose the server and click Authorize.
Avoid Administrator. It works, but a bug or a leaked token then has full power over the server.
The bot is in the server but offline
Being in the member list does not mean it is running. The bot appears online only while your server on PlayNHost is started and logged in. Open Console in the panel and check for a login line or an error. See Why your Discord bot keeps stopping.
