This article covers joining your PlayNHost Foundry server and what to give your friends.
1. Find your server address
- Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing and open your Foundry service.
- Note the IP / Hostname and Port. Foundry uses 3724 for the game by default and 27015 as the Steam query port.
- If the panel lists two ports, the first is the game port and the second is the query port.
2. Start the server
- Open the server in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com and click Start.
- Watch the Console. The first start generates the world and takes a few minutes.
3. Join from the game
- Launch Foundry.
- Choose the multiplayer option and open the server browser.
- Search for your server name, or use the direct connect field with
IP:Portusing the game port. - Enter the password if one is set.
4. Steam favourites
- Open the Steam client, click View, then Game Servers.
- On the Favorites tab click Add a Server and enter
IP:QueryPort. - Select it and connect.
5. What to give your friends
- The IP and game port.
- The password, if you set one.
- A note that the server only appears in the public browser when it is set to public in the config.
If a player cannot connect, check the player limit, confirm the server has finished generating the world, and restart the server after a game update so it matches the clients. Open a ticket from Support with the exact error if it continues.
