How to connect to your FiveM server

FiveM servers are joined through the FiveM client, either from the server list or by address. Direct connect always works and does not wait for the list.

1. Find your server address

1. Log in to the Client Area at https://playnhost.com/billing and open your FiveM service.
2. Note the IP / Hostname and Port. FiveM uses 30120 by default, and your service may use another port.

2. Start the server

1. Open the server in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com and click Start.
2. Watch the Console. A healthy server reports each resource starting and then that it is listening.

3. Join by address

1. Open FiveM.
2. Go to the Direct Connect tab.
3. Enter IP:Port and connect.

You can also press F8 anywhere in FiveM and type connect 123.45.67.89:30120 with your own address.

4. The server list

A server appears in the public list only when it has a valid licence key and is not set to private. Direct connect works either way, so give your players the address as well as the name.

5. What to give your players

• The connect IP:Port line, ready to paste into F8.
• The server name for the list.
• A note that the first join downloads your server's resources, so it takes longer than later ones.

Open a ticket from Support in the Client Area with the console output if players are dropped during that first download.
