American Truck Simulator convoy servers are not joined by typing an IP address. Players find them in the Convoy browser, either by name or by a Session Search ID that the server prints in its console.
1. Start the server and read the console
- Open your server in the Game Panel at https://panel.playnhost.com and click Start.
- Watch the Console. Once the session is registered, the server prints a Session Search ID. It is a long number with a slash in the middle.
- Copy that line. It is the reliable way for a friend to find your server.
2. Join from the game
- Launch American Truck Simulator.
- Open Convoy from the main menu.
- Choose the option to browse or search sessions.
- Paste the Session Search ID into the search field, or type part of your server name.
- Select the session and join. Enter the password if one is set.
3. What to give your friends
- The Session Search ID from the console, which is the fastest route.
- The exact server name as a fallback.
- The password, if you set one.
- The list of map DLC your server was built with. See the guide on server packages in this category, because a mismatch stops a player joining.
There is no direct IP entry in the Convoy browser, so an IP and port on its own is not enough for a player to connect.
4. If the session does not appear
- Check the console for a line about the logon token. Without a valid Steam game server token the session is not published.
- Confirm
show_serveristrueandfriends_onlyisfalseinserver_config.sii. - Restart the server and search again a minute after it reports the session is up.
If the session still does not show, open a ticket from Support in the Client Area and paste the console output from the start of the server.
