What is Veloren?
Veloren is a free, open source multiplayer voxel RPG. The world is procedurally generated, with towns, dungeons, caves and creatures to find, and it keeps simulating while nobody is looking.
Do players need to buy anything?
No. Veloren is free to download from veloren.net for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Can I run PvE instead of PvP?
Yes. Battle mode is a server setting with three choices: PvP for everyone, PvE for everyone, or per player so each person picks.
Will changing settings reset my world?
No. The world seed is read back from your server's settings file on every start, so the same map returns after any settings change.
Can I make days longer or shorter?
Yes. Day length is set in minutes on your server page, anywhere from 1 to 240.
What does view distance change?
It caps how far the server will stream the world to each player. A lower cap keeps a busy server lighter; a higher one lets players see further.
