Craftopia's co-op runs on whoever hosts it. Play that way and the world exists only while that person is online, their machine decides how well it runs, and the save sits on their hard drive, so everyone else plays on somebody else's schedule. A dedicated server takes the world off any one player's PC. It stays up when the last person logs off, so the farm keeps producing, the automation keeps running, and the world belongs to the group rather than to whoever happened to click Host. You get a fixed address to connect to, control over restarts and backups, and hardware that does not stop because someone closed the game to go to bed.

How many players does Craftopia support?
Official multiplayer supports up to 8 players. It is designed around a group of friends sharing one world rather than a large public server, so size the plan on how much you build rather than on headcount alone.
How much RAM does a Craftopia server need?
For a small group, 4–6GB is usually enough. A complex world — heavy automation, large builds, a lot of stored progress — wants 8GB or more, and at least 6GB is what keeps a busy world free of stutter and freezes.
Why does my server need more RAM over time?
Craftopia's memory use tracks the world rather than the player count. Farms, automation chains and construction all persist, so a world that ran comfortably in its first week can want a larger plan a few months in.
Can I edit the server files?
Yes — full file access over SFTP and through the panel's file manager, plus a console for admin commands and scheduled restarts you configure yourself.
How fast is setup?
Your server is provisioned and running immediately after checkout, with no manual provisioning step.
