How to join your OpenTTD server

This article explains how to connect to your PlayNHost OpenTTD server.

1. Find your server address

1. Go to https://panel.playnhost.com and log in.
2. Select your OpenTTD server.
3. Copy the address and port shown on the server dashboard.

2. Install OpenTTD

• OpenTTD is free. Download it from openttd.org for Windows, macOS or Linux.
• Everyone joining should run the same major version as the server. Your server's version is shown in the console when it starts.

3. Connect

1. Open OpenTTD and choose Multiplayer.
2. Click Add server, paste your address and port, then click Join game.
3. If you set a server password, enter it when prompted.

4. Join or start a company

New players arrive as spectators. Choose an existing company to join it, or select New company to start your own. A server allows up to fifteen companies.

Server not listed publicly?

Check the Server Visibility setting on your server page. public lists the server for everyone, invite-only keeps it off the list but reachable with an invite code, and local hides it entirely.
